Who said that time heals all wounds? I really would like to talk to that person. I really don't think that it is exactly true. I think that things change over time. I think that with the passing of time brings new events to fill our time. But does TIME really heal?
Arianna really doesn't understand what happened to Izellah. She knows I was pregnant. She was excited to have a new baby in the house. But she just doesn't get that she is gone. Every day she says we need to get something for the baby or she asks when the baby is coming or even touches my belly and asks if there is a baby in there. I don't care how much time has passed - that wound will always hurt.
I guess maybe the phrase should be that LOVE heals all wounds. I know she is asking about the baby out of love. The pure love of family. I can't get upset at her questions. Even when I feel like crying. As the wound is reopened with each inquiry, I have to remind myself that she lost someone too, but can't really make sense of her loss. Love of family is what hurts the most when it is lost, but it is that same love that heals. So here's the new phrase - Love heals all wounds.

Great points. I like your phrase "love heals all wounds." I think you are right and I am impressed you can have such great insights even when you, yourself, are mourning the loss of your baby.
